18 November 1870 — Madrid
Friday. 18th [November 1870]. A rainy morning so I took Car in the brougham & dropt her at Palmaroli’s. I went on to the Riaños to discuss & consult about this theft. She sent for Cyrila who said she had been ill in bed the last 2 days. I did not go out in the afternoon but let Car go alone. At 1 had a lesson of Inzenga. Did some writing for Henry. The Hunts & Inzenga dined & Cerruti came in the evening. We got a telegraph to say the Arthurs will come on Sunday.
