24 November 1870 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 24th [November 1870]. Altho’ this morning was not much brighter than yesterday it was settled that the Toledo expedition should come off & so they started early. I took the opportunity of writing a good many letters & in the afternoon Henry & I took a ride. We dined alone & afterwards went to the Dss de la Torre. Found not more than ½ doz people there & came away early. | |
