29 November 1870 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 29th [November 1870]. Car’s cousin Montie Spencer arrived from Biarritz & came to luncheon—so we let Car go out walking with him & Adeline & I took a drive. M. Spencer dined with us & we all went to the Opera. Saw Sapho in which La Ferni sang & acted most wonderfully. | |
