11 December 1870 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 11th [December 1870]. We had the service again in the house the room downstairs being ready– Adeline & I went but not Henry. After a hurried luncheon we went off to the Quartett Concert to hear Monasterio & there met the Riaños & they came home with us. Henry went to dine at the Prussian Minister’s a great diplomatic & Ministerial dinner. Adeline & I entertained Mess Ash, Sey & Spencer to dinner. | |
