3 February 1871 — Madrid | |
Friday. 3rd [February 1871]. I expected Grau to give me a lesson but he did not come. Henry went out walking in the afternoon. Mr Spencer came to lunch & just as I was going out Mr Ff: came. I told him to come back to tea & went off to Mme de Martino but she was out, I went to the Fuente, & picked up Henry & we soon came home as it was a muddy showery day. Mr Ff did come in just before dinner for a few minutes. We dined alone & read & wrote in the eveng. | |
