4 February 1871 — Madrid | |
Saturday. 4th [February 1871]. Grau came & gave me a lesson. After lunch Henry & I went out driving; we paid Mme Prim a visit. We did not stay out long. M. Sonnino came to tea to bid us goodbye as he leaves tomorrow for Italy. The Hunts, Palmaroli & Inzenga dined with us & in the eveng we tried over more Glees. Emilia R. & Mr Gayangos came in the evening & Mr Spencer & we only separated at ½ past 11. | |
