9 February 1871 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 9th [February 1871]. I did not get up till after breakfast. After lunch we went for a drive & also got out & walked in the Fuente. Pal: came to 5 tea so we told him to come & dine & go with us to Mme Bedmar’s ball. There were a great many people & I made some new acquaintances but did not stay late. | |
