Friday. 10th [February 1871]. Grau gave me drawing lesson & at the end of it Mr Dacre Hamilton called. We went out driving in afternoon & went to Count de Valencia de Don Juan’s to see his antiquities. He has all kinds of beautiful things splendid groups of Retiro China MSS. &c. His wife seemed a very nice person– | |
