11 March 1871 — Madrid | |
Saturday. 11th [March 1871]. In the evening we went to the La Rochefoucauld where Henry played whist & I talked to the Nava de Tajos & the Dss of Malakoff who is very low abt France & says she is going back to Paris tomorrow to see what state her things are in in the house at Paris. She says she had no friends now in Paris being an Imperialist. We rode today for the 1st time this spring– | |
