We persuaded E to put on her bonnet & go & drive with us & I paid a visit to Mme Ettling & found her in. We went to Auguste & ordered my mauve bonnet wh I am to wear at the Q’s reception & we then took E. home– We dined at the Prussian Minister’s met there the Serranos, de Martinos Dragonetti, Colobiano, Lindstrand &c. We stayed there till about 11; the Dss left early. Dragonetti took me to dinner & we talked abt the high combs. I said the Q ought to wear a mantilla & he said she wished to have done so the day of her entry– A Council of Ministers! decided that she had best not!!— | |
