13 April 1871 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 13th [April 1871]. Wrote in the morning. At 5 I went out & fetched Emilia & we drove together in the Fuente. We saw in a shop some nice old lace wh we brought home to show Henry but he did not admire it so I did not buy it. After dinner we went to the Presidencia. We did not stay very late. There was dancing going on there. Telegram to say the M was coming Saty. | |
