21 April 1871 — Madrid | |
Friday. 21st [April 1871]. I accompanied the M to Pal: to see her have the first sitting of her portrait done. It is to be the same size as mine. After luncheon Henry & I went for a drive with the M. We went to leave cards & also went in to the Jesusa & got some trifles. We met the the Conde de Valencia & the M. arranged to go tomorrow to see his things. After dinner Henry & I went to take tea with the Ettlings & there met the Bauers & Mme Haber &c. | |
