25 May 1871 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 25th [May 1871]. I went to breakfast with the Serranos. No further news except a confirmation of yesterday’s news from Paris. I did a lot of copying for Henry. Mr Mackensie came & the Rosalia & we had a great bargaining over some mantillas he bought of her. After he was gone I rested till dinner having a headache– Sir Charles & Lady Murray, Mr Mackensie Mr Ff. dined with us. The Murrays are on their way to England on leave. | |
