27 May 1871 — Madrid | |
Saturday. 27th [May 1871]. I drew in the morng & did some copying for Henry. Pal: came after lunch to say good bye to the M. The M. of Sardoal came to call on Henry. We had early tea & then Henry accompanied the M & S to the station & saw them off. They went to Avila on their way to England. When the carriage returned I went to call on Eliz: & then went to see Mme Ettling. Found the Weisweillers & Bauers there. Mr E. showed me some Retiro vases he had just got. We dined alone & I spent the eveng in restringing & arranging my coral necklace. Henry went at 10 to see Moret but was not long gone. | |
