15 June 1871 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 15th [June 1871]. Packed & arranged things; a great many people called to take leave Mme Moret, Mme Bauer, Mme de Mar: Inzenga, Clarita, Contreras, the Russian Minister, Mr Weisweiller, the Ayltons &c. & we hardly managed to get out by 6. We went for Emilia & took her out, bought some Spanish brocades & left cards. We parted with Henry & took a turn in the Fuente where we saw the King & Queen. The Hunts & Ff dined with us & the Pals came in the eveng. We went at 10½ to Presidencia but the Dss was gone to bed & the Duke at the Cortès. | |
