11 February 1872 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 11th February [1872]. We had service but no sermon– In the afternoon we went in a close carriage, owing to the rain, to drive in the Prado & took B. Aylton & Mrs Hunt with us. There were not many masqueraders. One came & talked to B. & sat at the bottom of the carriage with the door open; we came home at 5½. Messrs Ash, Sey & Go dined with us—& went away early. | |
