18 February 1872 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 18th February [1872]. I went down to church & played the harmonium as usual. After lunch we went to the first of the orchestral Concerts of this year at the Circus—& we took Clarita Hunt with us. Afterwards, as there was a report that there was to be some masquerading we took a turn in the Fuente—but it was rather cold so we soon went off to call on Mme de Martino—found her in. The Legation & Mr Gayangos dined with us. | |
