25 February 1872 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 25th [February 1872]. I did not get up till after luncheon & then went & laid on the sofa in the Boudoir. Henry took Clarita to the Circus concert & offered to take Emilia but she sent word to say Dr Bonifacio had died at Granada & being in mourning she could not go. I dined alone but Henry had the Legation as usual & a Mr McKewan & Mr Gay. Mr Ffrench came in to me a little while after dinner & I went early to bed. | |
