16 March 1872 — Madrid | |
Saturday. 16th March [1872]. The M & Mr S went out to all the Prendarias looking for old china &c—& only returned to luncheon. In the afternoon we took a drive & left Henry to walk in the Fuente while the M & I drove as far as the Atocha & back & then we went home. The Riaños dined with us & in the evening the Hunts & Inzenga came in & we had some glee practise but both Mr Hunt & I were very hoarse. Clarita was in very good voice. | |
