19 March 1872 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 19th [March 1872]. I sat at home & wrote while the M & S went out china hunting & to the Gallery. After luncheon we all walked to St Gato de Lema’s to show mama his curiosities & then came home & sat in the drawing room & we tried over a duett wh the M had brought. The Figueras called—also Mme de Canitz. At 7 we dined & directly after dinner the M & S started for Seville where they will arrive tomorrow evening. At 10 Henry & I went to Bouillé’s last reception—not many people there & we stayed a very short time– | |
