20 March 1872 — Madrid | |
Wednesday. 20th [March 1872]. I went to breakfast with Dss de la Torre & at 1 Henry came & fetched me in the carriage. I then went to the Hotel de Paris to call on Lord & Lady Ashburton, Lord & Lady Wharncliffe & Lady Caroline Kerrison—found them in & sat some time with them. I then went to the Palace & called on Mme Dragonetti whom I found a prisoner with a cold in her face & then I came home. Dined alone– | |
