24 March 1872 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 24th [March 1872]. I went to church & played the harmonium as usual. After luncheon Henry & I went out in the brougham. It was very cold & the horses even had on their jackets. It is said some snow fell last night. We went to see Emilia & found her & D. Juan. After this we went to the Fuente & took a turn but it was very cold & we were glad to get home. The Ct & Css de Valencia called on us at 5. The Dow. Dss of Northumberland & Mr & Mrs Hussey, Mr Gay: Messrs Ash: Sey: & Go: dined with us. | |
