4 April 1872 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 4th [April 1872]. Busy morning writing &c. Very windy & I did not intend going out but Mme de Canitz came to see me & proposed I should go out with her—which I did. We also fetched Bernadine Aylton & went & took a turn in the Retiro & she sent us home & walked to her house with her husband who joined us. We dined alone & went early to bed. | |
