27 April 1872 — Madrid | |
Saturday. 27th [April 1872]. We went to the Museum in the morning & in the afternoon got ready to go to Toledo. We dined early & went off by the 8 o’cl train. The Riaños were to have accompanied us but they were frightened by their friends who told them a Republican row was expected. We got to Toledo at 11 & went to the Casa de Huespedes of the Figueroas & had some tea & went to bed. | |
