2 June 1872 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 2nd June [1872]. We had church in the morning. Brehm came to see Susan & thought her a little better but she is not to travel with Mrs Burr on Thursday. Count Finck de Finckenstein called also De Martino who gave me news that his wife arrived safely at Florence & had the nerves of his child’s eyes & that he no longer squints at all. At 5 we drove to the Casa de Campo. We got out at the long avenue & met there M. & Mme Bauer & her three children & walked some time with us. | |
