25 June 1872 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 25th [June 1872]. I was going to breakfast with Dss de la Torre when she wrote & told me not to come being busy packing. She sent word she would come & see me in the afternoon so we stayed in for I had a headache & was bothered & worried by the servants, the cook making himself obnoxious this time. The Morets dined with us also Riaños, Bauer & A. Weil his nephew. Moret has been appointed Minister in London in place of Rancès so I gave her some hints & advice. We drove the Riaños home & for a turn in the Prado. | |
