22 July 1872 — Blackheath | |
Monday. 22nd July [1872]. Henry went up to town by train & I went up abt 2 o’clock to meet him at the Waterloo Junction. At Cannon St I met Dr Hooker & when we got to the Junct we found Henry waiting & we took the 3.15 train for Wimborne. Schrei: went down with us. We found Ivor & Cornelia at Canford alone, Ivor out in the park practising cricket. It was very fine & warm & we sat out after dinner & walked on the terrace. | |
