24 July 1872 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Wednesday. 24th [July 1872]. B & I sang together nearly all the morning– After lunch Ivor, the M & S & Henry & Blanche went into Poole by train. Cornelia drove with me in a Victoria to the Corfe Lodge a small place overlooking Poole Harbour wh Ivor has just bought. We took the tea with us & got the tea all spread on the heath when the M, Blanche & Henry drove up from Poole & we had tea—a shower came on suddenly wh made us rush for the carriages in confusion but it was of short duration but our tea was ended & we drove home. | |
