7 August 1872 — Coire | |
Wednesday. 7th [August 1872]. We took a carriage & soon after 8 o’cl went off by the Schyn Pass to Thusis where we stopped to lunch. We then went on to Tiefencasten where we passed the night. We found a charming hotel there just over an immense mountain torrent which roared so that one could not hear oneself speak with the windows open. We got there abt 5 & got some tea & then started for a walk but it soon came on to rain & we were driven in. There was a grand thunderstorm in the evening wh was beautiful to watch. | |
