14 September 1872 — Venice | |
Saturday. 14th [September 1872]. We went to Rietti’s & got the Venetian china figures I got & then to Salviati’s to take leave. To Vianelli’s to get our photos wh turn out very good. Afterwards we went out to Murano to take leave of the glass blowers– Cortelazzo & his wife came to see us but could not stop & dine. After dinner we went to spend the evening with Mr Rawdon Brown & to meet the Pisanis. They brought with them a Baron Langdale & a Mlle St Hillaire– A very hot night but splendid moon light the moon being near at the full– | |
