15 October 1872 — Toledo | |
Tuesday. 15th [October 1872]. We went after breakfast to the cathedral & there met the De Gex’s & then I went back to the lodgings to look after Lady Somers & Addie. Found them getting up. Hill was in bed with a sore throat & I made her some arrowroot. We [had] lunch abt 1 & then I & Giovanni took Lady S. & Addie for a walk in the town in search of old things but found nothing worth having & every thing dreadfully dear. We dined at 7½ & went to bed early. | |
