30 October 1872 — Madrid | |
Wednesday. 30th [October 1872]. Ffrench is appointed to St Petersburg. He does not seem to like it. I went to breakfast with the Serranos & spent the morning teaching the Dss to make frayed pulled out bows– I went then to call on Mme Dragonetti & saw her– She still looks pale– I then went to the Bauers & saw her & had a long chat; then to Mrs Hunt & found her laid up on her sofa & then home—& got some tea—had also a visit from Sr Ramon de Navarrete the editor of the Epoca– | |
