31 October 1872 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 31st [October 1872]. Wrote in the morning & after lunch we went to the Riaños to see their curious collection of old Spanish glass they want to sell to the S. Ken: Museum & meant Henry to report upon. They are most curious & interesting. We went then to walk in the Retiro taking Emilia with us but found it turn very cold abt 5 & had to hasten home. | |
