12 November 1872 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 12th [November 1872]. We rode at 2 o’cl. It was not quite so cold as yesterday & we went straight to the Fuente & took a few turns & then came home– Henry however rather increased his cold– At 5 we had a visit from the French Ambassadress—then from Mme Bauer—Miss Sickles who offered to take me to the Opera wh I declined & we went early to bed. | |
