16 November 1872 — Madrid | |
Saturday. 16th [November 1872]. I had the church practise & directly after I went & breakfasted with Dss de la Torre. The Duke is away at Jaen. I had a long discussion with her abt her behaviour in not going to the Palace or to enquire after the King but I could not persuade her to do so. I came home abt 1½. After Henry’s luncheon he & I went for a walk—we went round by Jesusa & Vicentes but saw nothing we cared to buy & did not stay out late. | |
