13 December 1872 — Madrid | |
Friday. 13th December [1872]. Got up late & painted all the morning. After lunch I went down to try the new harmonium in the chapel & in the midst was called away to Mr Underdown who came to call & has just arrived– Mr & Mrs Innerarity also called & then I went out. Today the linen was stretched for dancing. I went leaving cards & met Henry at the Fuente. Found him walking with the Bauers & their children & we joined them. I had a headache & went to bed soon after dinner. | |
