15 December 1872 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 15th [December 1872]. Mr Whyte is ill & we had no class or church. I wrote for Henry– After lunch we went to the Quartett Concert. Emilia sat with us. Monasterio played beautifully. Mr Underdown, Ffrench, Haggart & Seymour dined with us but I was obliged to go to bed directly after my head ached so. At 5 Mme de Canitz & the Dss of Fernan Nunez called. | |
