5 January 1873 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 5th January [1873]. I wrote a lot of letters & arranged my room & copied for Henry. In the afternoon I took a little walk with Hill to the Bauers found her in & sat some time with her & then came straight home. At 5 had visitors the Duke of Tetuan, Mme & 2 Miss Ayltons—Mme de Canitz & we had merry party—& before that Marquesa de la Romana– I read to Henry. Mr Gayangos dined with us & Messrs Sey: & Hag: | |
