7 January 1873 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 7th [January 1873]. Lord Hy & Mr Tarquehar came & lunched. Henry took out Lord H & Mr T. went to the Armoury. I went out driving with Mme Ettling. We took a few turns in the Recolletos where we met the Bauers & we went to see Mme Dragonetti & then came home. Mrs & Miss Sickles came abt 6 & stayed an hour chatting so that I only had just time to dress for dinner before the Riaños & Mr Gayangos—Lord H & Mr F came. | |
