24 March 1873 — Madrid | |
Monday. 24th [March 1873]. Such a pouring steady rain all day that I cd not stir out but wrote & practised harmonium. We expected no one would coming in the evening but a good many came—tho’ we had no music Mirecki being ill & Clarita not well eno’ to come on such a bad night– Beck came but was not prepared to play so we had no music. | |
