28 April 1873 — Madrid | |
Monday. 28th [April 1873]. My face was so bad that I could eat no breakfast & directly I had given the others Mins I rushed off with Hill to the dentist. He gave me some medicine to take wh he said wd do me more good than anything. I then came home & did not go out again. In the evening Maffei, Bouillé, Gravenegg, Mme de Canitz & Mme Andella came but I had such fits of toothache that I cd hardly talk– When we went to bed we found that Becura had left & gone off in safety. | |
