15 May 1873 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 15th [May 1873]. Had a toothache all day, got up late– It was very hot. Went to Gardeners at one oclock. At 2 ocl: we were going to dress for ride when the wind got up & we were obliged to give it up and it began to get cold so Henry went alone but soon came back wet. Maffei called. We went after dinner to the Canitz & took the 2 Aylton girls with us. Henry played whist & we stayed pretty late. | |
