5 June 1873 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 5th June [1873]. I was not able to do much having a headache & at 12 was obliged to give up & go & be in the dark till the eveng when Emilia came & dined with us & she & I spent the eveng working together while Henry went to the Canitz to play whist– I cd not go as Aurelie went to the Sickles ball given for Miss S’s birthday. D. Juan came after 10 to take Emilia home. | |
