12 August 1873 — Langham House, Portland Place | |
Tuesday. 12th [August 1873]. Henry & I went down to Bkheath to lunch with Grannie & we came back abt 4 oclock & Henry went to the F.O. & when he came home told me that Lt Granville was anxious that he shd return to Madrid as soon as possible & that he had promised to start abd 20th Septr so that we must very much shorten our stay in Scotland. Lady Somers came in just before dinner & brought me a Reubens hat she had ordered me from Paris. | |
