20 August 1873 — Keir | |
Wednesday. 20th [August 1873]. We left Keir at 7.30 in the morning to go to Achnashellach– Met some very nice people Col & Mrs Grant who told us all abt the places we passed. Abt Blair Athole the country was lovely. At Aviemon saw Mr & Mrs Tom Bruce at the station where they have a little cottage. We got to Achnashellach at 7. in the eveng. The station is only 20 yards from the house wh is beautifully situated on a loch out of wh are mountains. Besides Ivor, Cornelia & Blanche there was staying there the Duke of Marlborough & Mr Kennaway the Canford curate. | |
