23 August 1873 — Achnashellach
Saturday. 23rd [August 1873]. The Duke left Achh & Cornelia accompanied him as far as Inverness so I breakfasted upstairs as every one breakfasted so early. Blanche & I went with Henry to Trath Carron to fish. At the station met Tom Jenkins who had brought Ivor 3 Welsh ponies from Dowlais. We fished all afternoon but I caught nothing so we retired to tea at the lodge—& drove home– Glees at night.
