24 August 1873 — Achnashellach
Sunday. 24th August [1873]. Mr Kennaway read morning prayers. Afterwards I posted up Ivors game book for him. At 3½ we set off on mountain ponies to ride over the hills on the way to Coolen– We met Clemney & Ld George Pratt & dismounted near a burn where a fire was made & we had tea. It was a very pretty spot looking down towards Coolen Ivor’s other place wh is now let to Clemney– Henry, Cornelia, Blanche & I rode & Ivor & Mr Kennaway walked & we had gillies with us. We got back for dinner having had a charming afternoon–
