Thursday. 18th [September 1873]. Henry took me at 12 to call on Sir Antonio Panazzi who is paralyzed & cannot use his legs. He was very pleased to see us & talked over many subjects with Henry politics &c. Edgar, the frères De Gex & Kembles came to lunch—& we had a merry party. At 3 Hy & I went shopping in Arthur’s brougham. Mrs Burr & the Hambros dined with us. | |
