26 October 1873 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 26th [October 1873]. Brehm came. I & Hill went to the English service in the Calle Leganitos done by Messrs Moore & Jameson coming home met Mr Dering who told me he was to be moved to Stockholm. After lunch visit from Gato de Lema. We took a walk & went to call on Koudriaffsky. Found only her visible. He is ill again– Says it is a cold. Brehm thinks him ill & says it is heart. Met then Canitz, Jabat & Silva Allegre– We went round by the Puerta del Sol & home by the Alcala. The Coliberts, Derings, Maffei, Esquivel dined with us. | |
