22 November 1873 — Madrid | |
Saturday. 22nd November [1873]. Mr Hamilton came in the morning & said his youngest child is very ill & not likely to live. Mrs Aylton came to call in the afternoon & also Maffei. In the evening we went to La Rochefoucaulds where Henry played whist & I talked to Aurelie & the young people danced. We stayed till abt 12. | |
